WHY SOY WAX?
Soy candles are made from soy wax (a vegetable wax produced from soybean oil). Soy wax is natural, biodegradable, renewable and has a strong scent throw. Soy candles are favored more than average paraffin wax candles because it lasts for twice as long in comparison because of it lower melt point. Since soy wax has a lower melt point, that makes shipping much easier in the summer months; which means your candles are much less likely to melt while in transit. The natural properties and premium quality make soy candles slightly more expensive than average scented candles because they are that much better!
ARE SOY WAX CANDLES AND SOY BLEND CANDLES THE SAME?
No! Soy candles are made completely with soy wax while soy blend candles are made with a portion of soy wax and a portion of another type of wax (paraffin, beeswax, coconut wax, etc.). We prefer to use all soy wax in our candles because they give a much cleaner burn and very easy to clean with soap and warm water in case of a spill.
HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT FOR MY ORDER TO BE DELIVERED?
Please allow 3 to 5 days after placing your order for delivery. Once your order has been processed you receive an email informing you that your order has shipped. The email will include a tracking number which will give you access to updates regarding your shipment including expected delivery date.
ARE ALL THE CANDLES WHITE?
All candles at Handmade By Tay are white! We like to keep the candles as natural as possible so we leave out any dyes, unnecessary chemicals or preservatives.
HOW LONG DO THE CANDLES LAST?
Our tins burn for approximately 20 to 25 hours and our jars burn for approximately 45 to 50 hours. It is imperative to follow the care instructions included in your shipment which are also available here on our website. This will ensure you get optimum life from your candles.
DOES THE SIZE OF THE CANDLE MATTER?
Absolutely! Smaller candles like our tins are suitable for smaller spaces like bathrooms and average-sized bedrooms. Considering a larger space like a living room, kitchen or master bedroom, our jars and three-wicks are perfect.
